This ‘turntable’ animation shows Sarah’s jug on a podium, draped in a cloth featuring Hamish’s avatar. You can see that the lighting needs to be improved. The scene was created in Blender.

In the coming year, pupils studying Advanced Higher Graphics will be encouraged to produce pastel renderings, to illustate the text of a magazine article.
This post features an embedded flickr photo ‘set’ of pastel work, from our departmental ‘cdtlog’ account at flickr. This is an easy way to get a gallery of your work on to your portfolio site.
The ‘tylr-slidr’ plugin for WordPress has been used to generate the slide show.
Once the slide show starts, click on the ‘full screen’ icon, bottom left. If the image captions don’t automatically appear, top right, then click on the ‘show info’ link.

I recently completed a book containing many of the assignments I’ve done as exemplars for the course.
The book is large format – 13″ x 11″ – and will be printed and bound by www.blurb.com.
There’s a small size ‘page-flip’ preview available to view at Blurb, and a large (readable) version available here.
Small preview at Blurb.com – click on ‘Preview’ – should launch quite quickly.
Large (readable) preview – It has a lot of pages so it’ll take a while to launch. Therefore, I’ve set it to appear in a new tab or window of the browser. Once it launches click on the ’1:1′ button to enlarge the images.
